Demon Slayer Carries on Its Expectations In Season 2

Jordan Graham

Demon Slayer starts its second season off with a bang. As of 12/19/21 the first three episodes have been released, and this season is as close to perfect as it gets. This particular anime has been record-breaking, in both the United States and Japan. The first season included 25 episodes and, to set up for the second season, a movie titled “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie” was released.

This season demonstrates the advancements in animations to a tee. The vibrance of the color create a out of this world experience for the audience. To match the animation, the story line is seamless, everything flows perfectly. Many other Animes leave the audience confused with the plot but not demon slayer; the only question the audience is left with is, “what will happen next.” To add onto the animation part of this, the fight scenes are perfect. The new advancements in animation allow creators of Demon Slayer to really express their thoughts and let their characters be free in fights.

Another thing in this season which is balanced very well is comedy. Many animes are overly serious and leave the audience stressed when they watch it. Although Demon Slayer is a very suspenseful and gruesome anime it provides good comedic relief by characters Zenitsu and Inosuke. Demon Slayer writers were able to balance action and comedy very well in this piece and is one of the many reasons they have the audience on a hook.

Overall Demon Slayer is a show which produces movie-quality episodes on a consistent basis. The work that comes out of these creators is seamless and makes one question if they are human and make mistakes. With this, I would rate this season so far a 9.7/10, and although the show is fairly new, the future seems bright for Demon Slayer
